“All things work together for good for those who love the Lord.” Even a robbery, Lord? Yes!!

His name is Jack. It all started late one night in the beginning of July, when a couple of robbers sneaked onto the grounds of the Bible Institute of Tecate Mission. They broke into a van and stole various items along with the van’s battery. They also helped themselves to the battery of another van before they left. The owners of the van (a couple studying at the BI) asked if we might be interested in a watch dog that somebody wanted to give away. That’s when Jack arrived. He’s a one year old Rottweiler who is full of energy and very misbehaved. He has turned out to be a tremendous blessing and the perfect distraction from the pressures of the ministry, something which Lila has been praying for. She thoroughly enjoys his nightly training sessions and he is turning out to be a terrific dog. And, no more robbers! Thank you God, that all things do indeed work together for good, even a robbery.

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST!!

JC’s father has been kidnapped! JC is a 17 year old young lady who teaches a Good News Club at the local dump. A few days ago in broad daylight she witnessed the kid napping of her father. The kidnappers are asking for a very large sum of money and the family doesn’t have it, and the family can’t go to the police because they are often involved in the crimes. Please pray they will release her father alive! I am told that even if the family pays, they usually kill the victim anyway. Pray for protection for JC, her family and her pastors also.
